I'm it
First let me say hello and welcome to the revival of Mandy's blog (everyone claps) I've been busy and blogging has been a sad casualty of my over scheduled life. I miss it, I think about it and, though a bit annoyed, am glad I've been tagged to get me back here again.
Justin (www.justinhall.com) has tagged me to tell 5 things no one knows about me. Before I fulfill these obligations, I must publicly log my complaints. I first of all hate tag, I was not very fast (or motivated) when I was little so I was tagged often and "it" for a very long time...I don't know any other bloggers so it looks like I'll be "it" forever again...Also, this is a very hard thing to do, I am pretty open and very honest so there's not much I keep to myself, the few things I do keep in are very much on purpose. Lastly, Justin's revelations are book worthy. He could write a memoir on any one of his five and be sitting on Oprah's yellow couch discussing it within weeks.
Alright here it goes...
1. I am creeped out by big dolls and animatronic animals (was that redundant?) My grandma had one of those life size dolls that closed her eyes when she laid down. She kept it in her cubby. I hated that thing, I always thought it was going to come alive when I was asleep. Animatronic animals are a strange thing to be uncomfortable around but I've always thought they were weird then a few years ago some friends took me to Moon Lake Lodge in Indy, it's this theme restaurant, bet you can't guess the theme...It was this rustic cabin thing that had animals that moved and made noises when you passed them. There were raccoons in the "tree" that chattered and their eyes glowed when you passed, I till get chills...
2. I have watched When Harry Met Sally so many times (including the Rob Riner's commentary) that I can quote the whole thing...Come to think of t, it's been a while, I may have to watch it again...I know it so well, I was able to correct a Tivial Persuit 80's edition question about the production of the movie.
3. When I was younger I wanted 4 kids, a Boy, twin girls and a baby boy, their names were going to be...crap I don't remember the oldest's name, it was something like Julius, then Persefanie, Shalala and baby Oliver. I'm so glad I changed my mind on those names. And more glad that God knew I was not one to have twins.
4. I can't type without looing at the keys. I took keyboarding but it was on computers and you had to print your work, we all kept our discs in this box so every so often I would just grab someone else's disc and print the work. I thought it was awesome then but it's nearly a decade latter and I still have to watch my fingers...
5. I used to sing in choirs and choruses. I was really good. I could sing harmony really well and was a Second soprano. When I was pregnant with Eliya my voice changed...Seriously, like a 14 year old boy, it was so embarrassing, now I can't sing on key to save my life.
Sorry there's no real soul bearing things here, it's the best I could come up with right now. Side note, the blogger.com spell check doesn't know the word blog...
