Long time no blog

Hello to the few of you who are still antisipating new blogs...you are truely faithful. It has been 8 months since I've been here. One big reason was I forgot my password...it's lame I know it only takes 10 minutes and a few emails to get that straighteded out but it is what it is. Something less lame is that was when Wes started going out of town for work. Since April he's been gone a total of 14 weeks-seven of those being in the last 9 weeks. Hopefully he'll be in town more in 2008.

Speaking of which tomorrow is New Years Eve, I will be celebrating not only the beginning of the new year but what feels like a long over due end to 2007. This last year has not been great. I'm glad it will soon be behind me. God has taught me alot through it all, but I'm still not ready to look upon it fondly. Here's a top ten list (in no particular order) of why 2007 sucked for me.

10. Isaiah was diagnosed with a lazy eye and will need to wear glasses for the rest of his life due to extreem farsightedness in his right eye (he is a doll in those glasses though!)

9. Wes sprained on ankle and a few weeks later dislocated his other one causing him to miss 5 weeks of work eating up all of his time off and putting him on short-term disability.

8. As noted above I was a single parent for long stretches of time...I know I've already complained about that but it's worth mentioning again.

7. My grandma died in April. That was awful enough but it was the first week Wes was out of town so I had to drive 6 hours alone with the kids to the funeral. (That was also the same day I had to explain death to Bean and divorce to Eliya...not fun conversations) Thanks to dear and generous friends who let us borrow the backseat DVD player. That and hours of prayer made that time bearable.

6. Many, many people I know suffered this year. I have hurt, prayed and cried with you all.

5. I have dealt with another bout of debilitating depression (now under control)

4. Isaiah was diagnosed with speach delay and I have inrolled him in Early Start-as a mother it's hard to hear your child isn't perfect and as a homeschooler it's hard to admit that maybe public school is the right choice.

3. Wes and I have had the darkest months of our marriage. We are doing much better!

2. My relationship with God has suffered and it seems like that is the hardest thing to deal with. I continue to work on this and pray that I am comming out of this time.

1. We've dealt with some pretty big family issues.

Now that I look back on all of these things I feel both depressed and annoying for being so whiney. Here's a top ten list of things that didn't suck this year.

10. Wes being off work so long allowed us to hang out and spend time with each other which is probably a big reason or marriage is doing better.

9. Isaiah going to school has structured our day so Eliya is doing very well with her school. She's reading and finished a whole semester of 1st grade math in 1 month.

8. Our Christmas was fantastic and that is helping me to welcome in 2008 with hope.

7. We got a Wii and have found something that the whole family can and wants to do together.

6. I've gotten to know my sister in law so much better and am so thatnkful for our relationship.

5. I have a 2 jobs babysitting and LOVE them!

4. Eliya started Bible Bowl and has had a huge impact on the both of us.

3. I got some cool peircings ;o)

2. Sials is developing well, though still small he's too smart for his own good, can talk well and does everything a 2.5 year old should be able to do.

1. My brother got married and his wife had a baby last month.

Okay enough of all that here's some pics for you all...nah...I'll save them for next time. I'm tired. Hopefully I'll have a funny story to tell you!
