Another reason to homeschool...

...I suck as a school mom.

I am a homeschooler, and plan to home school all of my kids. Bean has a speech delay so he goes to preschool where he gets his speech therapy. It's what worked best for us this year and if he still needs therapy after Kindergarten, he can go to school just for the therapy. Enough of me justifying my life.

Today I was waiting for Bean's bus and I get a call. It's his teacher, I forgot to send his bus harness so she didn't put him on the bus, I was going to come and get him right? No. I had to get Belzie (the girl I babysit) and Baby up from their naps, throw them into their 5 point harnesses, get Goose in the van and speed the whole mile to the school. I run up to the door and Bean comes out and said he was scared I forgot him. My heart broke.

Then a little bit later at snack time he said his friend's mom was the only mom who came today. Apparently the story time that was canceled with school last week was today...I missed it...My heart broke a little bit more...

So I ask Isaiah what his favorite part of the day was. He said a man came and took their pictures. Crap-it was picture day. I let Bean pick out his clothes today, ripped jeans (not fashionable just 4-year-old-boy-ripped-in-the-knee-jeans) a bright lime green Power Ranger jersey and barely smashed down hair. Now I'm horrified.

Ugh...I'm thinking about pulling him out of school now...this is just way too hard. He'll learn how to talk from Sesame Street right?
