The babies came!!!!!!!

The afternoon after my last post Darth Vader had TWINS!! (for all you Star Wars fans out there I know you're loving the irony!!) The best part is we got to see the whole thing and get pictures!! They are Tootsie Roll, a boy and Princess, a girl-yes I do recognize the strange Jedi parallelism...Hmmm, Jedi would be a good name, but Eliya's stuck in Tootsie Roll!

The twins-left to fend for themselves less then an hour after thier birth...they eventually had to go find Darth Vader to nurse...Cavies are not great parents:



The Twins today, about 36 ours old. Cavies are born with hair, teeth, open eyes and eat solid food the day after birth (they still nurse for about 3-4 weeks) and they are so dang cute!!! Princess is the mostly white one..I totally think she has a heart on the back of her neck! Tootsie Roll is more brown.
