yddighs y0000000000000000000sssssssssssssssssssssssp;pnnnnn[[;[Well, Bean broke his arm a week ago. I wanted to blog about it earlier but I'm too lazy to do something in a timely manner I was sick this week. Here's how it went down:
Last Friday we went to our church's first Kite
Nite, it was awesome, great weather, a (free) cook out, hanging out with friends, big field full of
parents getting kites up, letting their children hold the string then winding up the string of the abandoned kite when the wind died down happy kite fliers. Wes and I were having a great time, our kids are finally able to play without constant supervision within 18 inches at all times (yes, I see the irony...some may call it neglect, I call it irony). Here are some pics:

See how much fun Bean is having flying his kite?

So the kids are playing at the playground, Wes and I are talking maybe 10 yards from them and I hear crying. I look over and say something like "That's our kid, run!" Our friend who was keeping an eye on her kids and a doctor who I've seen at church but have never actually met were there and the doctor was checking him out. Bean was freaking out so I took him away from the commotion..and the doctor...maybe not my best decision ever but Bean gets more upset when there's a lot of attention on him. At this point, I'm convinced Bean needs to go to the ER, Wes thinks we should wait and see. He was moving his hand and fingers, so Wes wasn't being totally ridiculous. Then I start crying, the
Bris help us and pray for us, other friends offer to go on home so watch Goose and Si while we go to the hospital.
We go home, throw some stuff in a bag, after our last trip to the ER I was not going to go unprepared! Plus Bean needed Buddy and Blankly Blue. We went to the ER and were in a room in 10 minutes, I don't' think we were ever alone more then 15 minutes. It was amazing!

The doctor came in and checked him all over, she was fantastic. We had to get an x-ray in less then 15 minutes she came in and said "Do you want to see what you did to your arm?" So then I knew he broke it. We saw, it was a distal radial buckle fracture...that means "not bad,a couple weeks in a cast" to you and me. We got back in the room and I looks at Wes and said "In your face!" then realized how dead-inside that reaction was to my son's broken arm. My bad. He got a splint, we picked up the other kids and were in bed by 11:00...amazing...
Then on Monday we went to get Bean's cast. Mrs. Bri kept Goose, Si, the baby I watch (in addition to her 3-thanks Bri!) while Bean and I went, it was another fast appointment, God is Good! Bean getting his cast:

Leanne, the cast lady is also an artist and does designs on casts, Bean chose Spider man. She said it was her first Spidey cast, he's an original (duh)
